Hey friend,

How are you?

It’s been another big week on the development front and here’s some of what I’ve been reading:

Malawi has vaccinated 1.3 million children against polio in just four days which is an amazing effort and hopefully will go a solid way towards eradicating this awful disease. Success is underpinned by collaborative efforts by government, healthcare workers, religious leaders and community groups.

By 2050, 1/4 of the world’s population will be African. They are also an extremely young population which means that change and innovation may be in the wind.

Afghanistan is facing a severe hunger crisis and child malnourishment, the result of 4 decades of conflicts, Taliban rule, and US funding cuts to the World Food Programme (WFP).

And over a billion people may face serious food security by 2100 thanks to climate change, not to mention all the environmental catastrophies.

And yes, that’s pretty bleak.

But stepping back from the heavy stuff is this week’s jobs board and 65 new communications roles.

Let’s get stuck into it.

The Comms 4 Development Jobs Board is a weekly list of paid roles (no volunteer or intern roles) and carefully curated by yours truly.

The C4D Jobs Board is for communications professionals in the global development sector, and in developing countries only.

You won’t find anything else like it.

And it’s delivered straight to your inbox bright and early every Tuesday morning (AEST). For the bargain price of $US10/month.

Paid subscribers get the full deal, 2 hours ahead of everyone else, while free subscribers get 10 roles picked at random.

I do the hard yards finding these gigs so you don’t have to! You’re welcome.
