Comms 4 Devt Jobs Board #121
There's 50 new comms roles on the board this week!
Hey friend,
How are you?
If it feels like a lot right now, that’s because it is.
We’re only halfway through 2026 and we’ve had the aftermath of USAID cuts, the US-Iran war, oil shocks, global food insecurity, Ebola outbreak, and now the onslaught of AI.
It really is a lot.
Against that backdrop, here’s what I’ve been reading on the global development front this week:
An account by former USAID top global health official on the Ebola catastrophe.
It basically laments the loss of health experts right when you need them - in a health emergency.
Further on the mismanagement of aid is the now revamped Food for Peace - an emergency food aid program that’s sending food to the wrong places.
Then there’s a sad look at how modern slavery is still alive and kicking across the world, despite global treaties and regulations.
And global growth is slowing to lowest level since pandemic, thanks to the US-Iran war.
This can make it harder to reduce poverty and improve living standards in developing countries.
The good news is that organisations are still hiring comms people, so let us get stuck into this week’s 50 new jobs.
Note that some are only open for a few days or are closing soon, so don’t delay.
As you know, the Comms 4 Development Jobs Board is a weekly list of paid roles (no volunteer or intern roles) and carefully curated by yours truly.
It’s for communications professionals in the global development sector.
All roles are open to non-locals and in developing countries only.
You won’t find anything else like it.
And it’s delivered straight to your inbox bright and early every Tuesday morning (AEST). For the bargain price of $US10/month.
Paid subscribers get the full deal, 2 hours ahead of everyone else, while free subscribers get 10 roles picked at random.
I do the hard yards finding these gigs so you don’t have to! You’re welcome.
